TAG presents a tour of the Austin Community College Bioscience Incubator (ABI) for Biotech startups housed at the ACC Highland Campus (formerly known as the Highland Mall). Coffee and breakfast tacos will be provided. There will be no cost to attend. Register below.
Our host will be Nancy Lyon, ABI's Director. She works with entrepreneurs, economic development interests, faculty and other partners to support the biotech economy. With a degree in Microbiology from the University of Maryland, College Park, Nancy has been doing molecular biology research and managing labs for over 15 years. Nancy thrives in leadership roles but is also a team player who loves to help, teach and solve problems.
The ~10Ksq ft of fully equipped leasable lab space for Biotech startups was established by a $4.9M grant from the Office of the Governor. The ACC Bioscience Incubator wasable to build a beautiful lab and equip it with close to $2M in everyday lab equipment as well as some high end analytical instrumentation.
